The 2025 new edition of The Atletenu of Avaris is available on Amazon starting today. This deeply revised and improved edition of the 2021 Atletenu text features a thoroughly re-edited English translation, updated graphics and images, and new content. In particular, it delves into topics requiring further investigation from the previous edition. For example, the problem of the existence of the "Pillars of Hercules" on the Nile Delta has been investigated in detail, providing concrete evidence. Furthermore, various passages of Critias and Timaeus are explored, offering important clarifications on the translation of the original text and, where necessary, addressing philological investigations on individual terms that represent essential lexical choices for understanding the real location of Atlantis.
Thanks to the study and research behind this new edition, it is the author's opinion that the thesis identifying Atlantis as the city of Avaris, built on a gezira island along the Pelusiac channel of the Nile, is significantly strengthened. News on the second edition of The Atletenu of Avaris in English

With this short post I want to inform that the preparation of the second English edition of the book The Atletenu of Avaris is proceeding much faster than expected and therefore the publication will be announced soon. There are many new features and many interesting discoveries that make this second edition really special and richer than the previous one, not only in the form (graphics and translation) but also in the contents with new discoveries that support the theses and findings of the first edition. I will provide more details as soon as the final text is ready, I am convinced that more and more readers, thanks to this book, will share the thesis that Atlantis was the island of Avaris on the Pelusiac Channel of the Nile and that the Atlanteans were the Hyksos. I am very excited!

Meet Abisha the Hyksos

The famous paintings of the Beni Hasan necropolis, which are found on the tomb of the vizier Khnumhotep II, portray , among others, a scene of a group of “Asiatics” who, in the sixth year (1892 BC) of King Senusret II (1897-1878 BC) of the XII Dynasty, went to visit the pharaoh to bring gifts. The group of Asians is led by the Royal Scribe of Documents, Neferhotep, who holds a papyrus in his hand thanks to which it is discovered that these “Asiatics” are called Aamu (ꜥꜣmw) of Shu (Ŝw). There is a vast scholarly literature on these paintings and associated texts: the Aamu [‘3m(w)] in this scene have been identified as a group of Western Amorites and considered the ancestors of the “Hyksos” who visited Pharaoh Senusret II some two hundred and fifty years before the Hyksos/Atlanteans of King Atlas conquered Lower Egypt.
The Aamu group is led by a man named “Abisha the Hyksos”.

Abisha’s title is thus “Heqa Khaset” (Hyksos) meaning “king of a foreign land”, written in the short form with the “crook” symbol for kingship and the “hills” symbol for foreign lands. This is the earliest known occurrence of the name Hyksos.
In the book The Atletenu of Avaris the scene of the Aamu the paintings of Beni Hassan are analyzed in every detail: the clothes and the ornamental objects worn, the merchandise offered as gifts to the pharaoh, the text of the papyrus held by Neferhotep. Thanks to this meticulous analysis it was possible to identify the exact origin of this group and therefore prove how their leader Abisha was an ancestor of the king of Atlantis who led the Hykos/Atlanteans in the conquest of Lower Egypt two hundred and fifty years later. It was March 2021 when my book in English "Atletenu" was published for the first time.

 

More than four years have passed and after much research and study I have completed a new edition of the book, richer and more in-depth with some important news, the new edition is currently available only in Italian with the title "Gli Atletenu di Avaris", it can be found on amazon.it in paperback and Kindle eBook format. 

 

 In the coming months this new edition will also be available in English as soon as the complex translation work is completed. Gli Atletenu di Avaris is an exciting journey through archaeology, ancient history and myth. Starting from the most recent archaeological discoveries in the Egyptian city of Avaris (today's Tell el-Dab'a), the book proposes a bold and surprising hypothesis: that Avaris may have inspired the myth of Atlantis described by Plato.
